Today (Life Lessons over lunch shoot and Designing the new Media offices)
Posted by Brad on September 28, 2007
Today was one of those days that I didn’t see half my team because of a video shoot at a secret location (down the road at NP’s other offices)(not really secret). Tripp and Dave led the charge for a LLOL video – thats fancy talk for “Life Lessons over Lunch”. This ministry utilizes the DVD’s that North Point creates so business leaders can play them during a lunch that he/she provides food for. Totally voluntary and reaelly effective. I absolutely LOVE the script and I think will speak to so many people that are trying to have an impact on the lives of those at work but will not step foot into a church.
I also spent a ton of time talking through the future plans for the new media offices. I am soooooooo dang proud of my team and how hard they work. Whenever you are dealing with media and print – it’s not just that you are getting it done but also realizing it’s going to get judged and criticized and critiqued every week. I am glad I am surrounded by people I trust, otherwise this job would be very frustrating. Knowing that my team and the other campuses have great hearts and great eyes for quality, criticism becomes a hot commodity that pushes you to be better.

Fridays and Saturdays
Posted by Brad on September 23, 2007
I love Fridays and Saturdays. It’s a party at the Bretz’s. The kids normally get showers but on Friday and Saturdays – they look forward to the bathtub, bubbles, and toys. The kids normally sleep in their own beds but on the weekend – they get to sleep in the same room together and talk. Bed times are normally 7:30, we live a little and extend them until 8:30 after maybe some popcorn and a movie (or High School Musical 2 for the 20th time). Maybe a light saber fight, oreo’s and milk (mainly for Dad’s enjoyment) or maybe a family dance before everyone goes to bed. It’s pretty hilarious. Life is good.

Experience Drive ‘08!! Website UP!!!!!!
Posted by Brad on September 22, 2007
Hey Guys – We have launched the Drive Conference website for Drive ‘08. I am totally stoked about the look for Drive itself and this website ROCKS. You must experience it. The guys at Regime Design have been working really hard and took an idea that we had in our head and blew it out of the water. I am really proud of this site.

Posted by Brad on September 21, 2007
So I am watching Leno with Jiyoung and he is doing the audience “questions”. All of a sudden, Briley appears out of nowhere. Here are some shots.

9/11 An Anniversary to remember
Posted by Brad on September 12, 2007
Today has a special meaning for Jiyoung and I. We got married on September 11, 1998 – a Friday night and celebrated the beginning of being with each other for the rest of our lives. Three years later, our anniversary was changed forever.
Tonight we went to dinner at Village Tavern. We laughed and talked and remembered what a great life we have together and how blessed we are. We have a very rich life, one that I wouldn’t change for anything. I am absolutely crazy about my wife and look forward to the future.

New Header
Posted by Brad on September 9, 2007
From Left to Right – Jake Bretz (Handsome devil), Judson Lowe, Collier Wolfe, Luke Bennett (sorry about the ear), Owen Malone, Davis Fogle, & Annie Fogle (Jillian had a friend for the pool). This picture was taken from Jake’s 6th birthday party bonanza. Start at the pool, pizza at the pool, go to the basement, watch and live Star Wars episode 4 (parental approval of course) – end night with individual light sabor battles with Brad then 12am bedtime. ( I lost the light sabor wars but kept my teeth). It was a blast. Jakes 6th B-Day. One for the books.

Singin’ Jillian
Posted by Brad on September 8, 2007
There is always those times in a parent’s life when your child does something that captures your heart. Well, my little girl just sang “the B-i-b-l-e” only the way a three year can sing it, perfect. I feel very rich.

Michael Irvin revealed
Posted by Brad on September 3, 2007
Okay so this will be my last post about either of the Michael Irvins’ in the previous posts. Last Saturday, I took Jake to Michael Irvin’s birthday party and got to meet his wonderful family and some more of Jake’s new friends from his new school. It was a great party and Jake learned quickly how fun laser tag is. The picture below from left to right – Jake, Michael Irvin, and Spencer a friend from Jake’s class with the classic shirt.
